Found this snippet of a poem in today's newspaper...

Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun.
The Japanese dont care to, the Chinese would'nt dare to,
Hindus and Argentinies sleep firmly from twelve to one,
But Englishmen detest a siesta...
In Bengal, to move at all, is seldom if ever done,
But mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun.

Noel Coward

  1. And people who HAVE to work from their car!!! I must be a mad dog

  2. Hello!

I created a new blog in English, more attractive. Do you follow?

  3. this poem makes me remember about the story named "The Drought", where the writer observed that it is the hottest in june in india as compared to any other parts of the world and no one can imagine the heat unless he comes here to feel himself to admit. england is almost an exception to such temperature.

Hey there, thanks for your comment, let me take a peek and I will soon post it. Cheers!
